 Today NBC had a Special visitor his name is El  Gregoe  has been a perfoming for 22 years

 yesterday  room 5 &room 6 went to Ferymead .  to go back  in time   

 and boys did outside jobs.

& the girls did inside jobs & we did activities like. cleaning a baking  shop called kings bakery.

Matariki

Matariki is the the Maori new year  

Maori used kites to celebrate Matariki the Maori name for kites is Manu. Humans grow crops and harvest the crops. Family and friends share kai. Matariki is a time to share kai. Matariki is a time to celebrate.

In New Brighton we are having fireworks to celebrate Matariki.

The LORAX

 In reading we have read the LORAX. The Lorax is about looking after the environment. The Once-ler was cutting down trees which was not good for the environment. It is important we care for our environment. Some activities we have done about the Lorax are an inside-out, we drew a picture of the Lorax and we used words to describe the picture. Some of the words I used to describe the Lorax were, bossy, hairy and angry. I also wrote a letter to the Once-ler asking him to stop cutting down the trees because the animals would have no food.
